Jewellery has always been deeply personal to me. More than an accessory, it carries a feeling, a story, a memory. That feeling began when I was three years old, growing up in Denmark, quietly trying on my mum’s jewellery and realising how different I felt the moment it touched my skin. That small, private ritual stayed with me, even as life took me far from where I began.

I was born in Denmark and grounded in Persian heritage that values detail, ornament, and story. For more than a decade, I have called Hong Kong home, a city defined by contrast: old and new, subtle and loud, measured and impulsive. Moving between cultures and continents has shaped how I understand style and identity. For years, I felt I had more to express than words could hold, and that unspoken part of me eventually took form in something tangible: the pieces I create for Shamseili.

Before jewellery, there was dance. I spent years as a competitive ballroom dancer, eventually earning a bronze medal at the World Championships, an experience that taught me discipline, resilience, and that there are no shortcuts to hard work. The hours in the studio, the repetition, the quiet obsession with detail, all of it imprinted my sense of what it takes to get where you want to go. Later, I channeled that energy into becoming a spin instructor, encouraging others to move, feel, and connect with themselves more honestly. That same standard and drive now shape how I design, refine, and bring every Shamseili piece to life.
